Our Mission

Hootbrook Learning is an Australian education technology company on a simple mission: help every child develop genuine reasoning skills — the kind AI can't replace.

We believe the future belongs to children who can think critically, recognise patterns, and reason from first principles. Our adaptive platform builds these skills through the Feynman Method, spaced repetition, and personalised AI tutoring.

What We Do

Hootbrook provides adaptive learning for primary-school children aged 5–12, covering:

• NSW Opportunity Class (OC) preparation
• Selective High School entrance exam prep
• Private school scholarship exams
• NAPLAN readiness (Years 3, 5, 7, and 9)
• UK 11+ and grammar school preparation
• General curriculum enrichment

Our platform includes more than 22,000 practice questions across five pillars of reasoning: mathematical thinking, reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, abstract/non-verbal reasoning, and writing.

How We're Different

Most test prep drills children on past papers. Hootbrook takes a fundamentally different approach:

• The Feynman Method — Children don't just answer questions. They explain their reasoning back to our AI tutor. If you can teach it, you understand it.
• Adaptive engine — Every session is personalised across 400+ tracked concepts. The engine adjusts in real time so your child is always working at the right level.
• Spaced repetition — Concepts resurface at scientifically-timed intervals so knowledge sticks long-term.
